西秀海滩是海口最大的海水浴场，位于海口市庆龄大道，距市中心约6公里。海岸线长约1200米（图1）。

市区内公交28、35、37、57路和旅游1线、旅游6线在西秀海滩站停靠（图2）。

目前已建成综合竞技、运动、休闲、娱乐滨海旅游胜地，有国际帆船帆板训练及比赛基地、国际游艇俱乐部、大众海滨游泳场和水上运动中心等旅游配套服务（图3）。

2019年1月17日下午我离开火山口公园后乘游1返回西秀海滩站。公交站离西秀海滩公园很近，几步路就到了沙滩。有游客在沙滩上散步，有帆板在启航（图4）。

海面远处有大海船停泊（图5）。

我身后就有海船停泊，还有帆板在和风浪博斗（图6）。

为了赶上晚上7点半的火车（从海口到广州南），回到西秀海滩站。乘公交车到达海口火车站（不是东站）（图7）。

在上世纪五十年代我曾在南京埔口乘火车轮渡过江。我这次特意要乘一趟火车轮渡过海（琼州海峡）。火车开到渡口后，全部客车箱分组被推上渡船（图8）。

渡船载着火车车箱渡海，可惜是在晚上，只看到一些灯火，不知是岸上的还是轮船的（图9）。
